Koro Island

Koro is the sixth largest island in Fiji. The island is about 16 kms long and 8 kms wide with around 3,200 inhabitants.  Some of the 14 villages on Koro Island are more disadvantaged than others. Some families find it almost impossible to sell enough surplus produce at market in Suva to raise the funds required to send their children to the island high school in Nasau Village.

Children from many villages do not attend school beyond primary school.
